I think most of us can agree that we've had a pretty warm fall this year, but with winter setting in I fear that Kev and I might freeze to death in our apartment. We moved into our new place in the middle of the summer, so not till the last few weeks did we realize that the heat doesn't work. We voiced our need for heat with our landlord (my brother) but for some reason he thinks it's not a pressing matter.... They say the squeaky wheel gets the oil, but we say we've squeaked and squeaked.. and squeaked and all we're getting is frost bitten...
I can't say he hasn't done anything but pretty close. The only "oil" we've gotten is a small space heater that has the capacity heat one room and takes at least an hour to do so. This heater is not a solution to our problem, that's for sure.
Shouldn't the plate in the cupboard be warmer than the water bottle just taken from the fridge? - fridge is working... We're pretty sure that isn't an unreasonable request, are we wrong? We don't know when the heat will get fixed, and with the progress we've seen, it probably won't happen for a while... all we know is we're just about done with layered sweatshirts, blankets, socks, and slippers in hopes we won't get hypothermia.
