Sunday Adventures- graphic content

I woke up to a text message from my sister early early Sunday morning. She needed my help with her computer... I rounded up the things she needed and headed down my stairs and through the door that connected my place to hers. After I did what I could to help her I headed back to catch up on my ZZZZ's.  About 45 minutes pass, and at this point I'm dreaming quiet nicely, I wake up to Kevin saying your sister needs you.. She's cut her hand open. I scurry run down stairs again to see she is standing in my living room bleeding all over... luckily no blood got on the carpet.
She came over for some bandages... I took one look at the cut and said get your stuff we need to take your to insta care. She then discourages the idea and the idea that I'll be taking her. How does she think she'll drive a manual with a hand gushing blood?

This is a picture of her hand after it stopped bleeding.

I ended up talking her into going and that I would take her.

Can I just say that Insta Care's most busy day of the week is Sunday so we ended up spending about two hours there.

It took four pokes of numming needles and six stitches to get it all sealed up.. ohh and one strawberry kiwi juice box... She almost passed out on several occasions.

I must say it wasn't the Sunday morning I was expecting, but I can say it was entertaining.. I love my sister and her dramatic accident.

I fear we'll freeze

I think most of us can agree that we've had a pretty warm fall this year, but with winter setting in I fear that Kev and I might freeze to death in our apartment. We moved into our new place in the middle of the summer, so not till the last few weeks did we realize that the heat doesn't work. We voiced our need for heat with our landlord (my brother) but for some reason he thinks it's not a pressing matter.... They say the squeaky wheel gets the oil, but we say we've squeaked and squeaked.. and squeaked and all we're getting is frost bitten...

I can't say he hasn't done anything but pretty close. The only "oil" we've gotten is a small space heater that has the capacity heat one room and takes at least an hour to do so. This heater is not a solution to our problem, that's for sure.

Shouldn't the plate in the cupboard be warmer than the water bottle just taken from the fridge? - fridge is working...  We're pretty sure that isn't an unreasonable request, are we wrong?  We don't know when the heat will get fixed, and with the progress we've seen, it probably won't happen for a while... all we know is we're just about done with layered sweatshirts, blankets, socks, and slippers in hopes we won't get hypothermia.

Virgin Blogger

I've decided that I'm done being a Virgin... at blogging that it is.... Blogging never seemed like something I would find myself doing. I've always wanted to write all my experiences in a journal but I've never been able to do it more than a few months, so hopefully this will help me to do it more often. I figured what better time to start then just being married and hopefully starting a family soon

Please if anyone has any suggestions on what to blog about or what I should post let me know... I'm not sure what I'm doing with this quite yet..
